ouch...i got hurt.

So, my roommate, Emily, and I were messing around, and she was trying to tickle me and I didn't want her to so i was kind of kicking my legs (and I was laying upside down on the couch). Well, she started to pull, and before I could do anything, she was pulling kind of...and this is what happened...it hurts so bad. I'm not really sure what to do about it. It's not just bruised. It hurts on the inside. Like, it's not just touch that hurts. I can hardly move my arms without being in a ton of pain. It takes me forever to fall asleep because my back is throbbing. 1,000 mg of Tylenol didn't do anything for me...just not sure how to take care of this injury, and I'm scared that it's something more than I can tell.

p.s. pardon the gay tan.

it's been a while...

so...life's been kind of crazy lately.
First of all, I'm crazy about this one guy, but he's not interested back, which would be totally fine, if it weren't killing me. He's an amazing guy, but just no future with us, which I think I might actually be ok with for the first time. His name is Michael and he's from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and I'm actually going to visit him sometimes later this year.
I've grown really close to all of my roommates. They've all helped me so much, especially with all of this Michael drama. From left to right: Brunela Zorba, Jaesika Nelson, Emily Boudwin, me, Debra Vance. This picture was actually taken at Clean Flicks, and we were having a girl's night out. We got a package one day from Debra's mom and it was full of socks, and a $20, and a note that said "Girls! Take off your shoes and have a simple party (simple enough for the enclosed budget)." It was way cute, so we did. We all wore our socks, bought 2 pizzas (both of which we finished), 1/2 gallon of ice cream, and rented a movie. Our FHE brothers asked us if they could come, but we said "no boys allowed." It was very juvenille of us, and we had so much fun!
This is our FHE group minus quite a few people, actually. we're missing 5 guys, and 1 girl in this photo (Emily was out getting the pizza and ice cream for the girl's night out that was the same night). But, this particular night we had a California Snowball fight. My team lost both times, but it was still so much fun!!! Front to back and left to Right: me, Brunela Zorba, Jaesika Nelson, (next row) Michael McCarraher, Chris Cain, Braxton Huggins, and Debra Vance. We had a really fun time, and I think even the boys enjoyed themselves, and they usually don't when one of the girls plans the activity.

Since I'm in Idaho now, and my mom is from here, I have a lot of family here. I've been able to spend quite a few time with them. This is a picture of me and my aunt's grand-daughter Tori. She's such a good little girl, and she knows right from wrong. She's just a really good kid.

And, last but not least, i've become addicted to BYU-Idaho basketball. I went to so many games this past semester, you have no idea! My friends Travis and Anthony Martin (twins) played on the Varsity Wildcats team, and my friend Michael McCarraher played for the JV Spartans team. They are all amazing players, and I was fortunate enough to be able to go to almost every game, except when I was out of town. Well, Michael wasn't able to win the championship for JV, but I was able to go to the championship game for the twins, and they won in overtime! They were down by 22 with 5 minutes left, came back, and won it!!! It was an amazing game, and now i'm officially addicted!

hair...again!!!

Since moving up here I have accidentally lost 40 pounds, not that it's not great that it happened, I just didn't do it on purpose. Here are the top 3 reasons it happened... 1:I'm broke=no car=walk everywhere 2:I'm a busy college student, I usually eat about 1 meal a day 3:I like boys, and when they're around I eat even less... They're around a lot...Anyways, since this happened, I decided to give myself a treat, and get my hair professionaly colored (NO BOXES!!!) and cut at the Paul Mitchell School that is up here in Rexburg ID.I got my hair cut back in January, maybe February, and it was quite a dramatic experience. Well, it was dramatic this time, too, but I like the end result better. I was nervous the whole time. In fact I had this scared look on my face up until the very moment that they pulled the cape off... so...I went in on April 28th (Tuesday) for a color and a cut. I went in at 5:30 and I walked out at 10:00 with this...

4 and a half hours later, and all they were able to do was color it. It took forever!!! It was well worth it though. I love the color. I have a shadow box now (almost black) on the underside, and then the top is a red and brown stipes...literally. It's awesome. And I love it!!!
So...they asked me to come in again the next day at 5:30 so they could cut it. At first I just wanted a trim, but then the more I thought about it, I was ready for a change...
Well...here's the change!!!!

Anyways...I really like it now. Not everyone else likes it, but I don't really care anymore!!!

engaged anyone?

So, when I moved away from Texas my family (most my father) gave me 2 months until I was engaged. And, obviously that wasn't happening, so I was talking with my roommates about it and telling them how crazy I thought it was that my parents would plan that, and one of my roommates got a crazy idea! My rommate Emma looked at me and said "What if you were engaged by your 3 month mark?" Well, my 3 month mark happened to be the same day as my birthday, so naturally I thought it was a brilliant idea. The next day I asked my friend Russell if he would "marry me" for a week. He was totally down with it, and before I even finished my request he knew what I was going to ask. It was awesome. So, here are some pictures from our "engagement"!

This one is by far our favorite. Mostly because of our sly smiles on our faces. It's also everyone's favorite. :)

This is the one that we put on the annoucements that we sent out. They weren't wedding announcements. They were just "We're Engaged" announcements. Oh, p.s. to all those who did in fact receive an announcement, on it, it says Aubrey Michelle Weatherholtz and Russell JASON Falke. He's always told me his middle name was Jason. Well, it's not. It's Scott, and he forgot to tell me that it was a joke. So, on every announcement we sent out it said, Jason!

So, for all of those that haven't heard yet, I'm not engaged. It was an April Fool's Joke on my parents, and all my Texas friends! I hope you all forgive me and I hope you all have a wonderful April month!

WHERE'D MARCH GO!?!?

ok...so i'm still getting used to this blogger.com stuff...so i accidentally put all of these pictures in backwards. So, bear with me as we run through this past month BACKWARDS!!! To start things off, here's Russell...above, we like to swing...below...well...that's him. His eyes are PIERCING!!!

We had a ward talent show on 3-26-2009, and it was way awesome. Here's Sister Webb reading us a story.
Nathan Dalling playing the Mission Impossible Theme Song

Jaesika and Alan doing their stunting routines.

This is Alan!!! He stole my eye and stuck it on his forhead

So...Emma is from Amarillo, Texas, so when her and I get together it's kind of crazy. We're unstoppable, at least that's what we like to think. She tells me that i'm animated, and tells me that she could sit and watch me all day, so these next few picture are of us being "animated"!!!

For the ward talent show this is what our apartment did. We lipsang to the song "Any Man of Mine", and we all had different colored handkerchiefs. It was way awesome!

This is the view of the temple from the balcony of our apartment building.

My brother got me these beautiful flowers. They've been a wonderful reminder over the past week as i've watched them of his love.

On the weekend of March 21st the weather was so beautiful. It was literally 65 degrees...we could finally wear shorts!!! So, we played beach volleyball!!!

Annalyse plays volleyball. A lot. This was her last game. We went and cheered her on like CRAZY!

Went out of town on the weekend of the 14th, and nobody ever believes me that there's a store up here called the "House of Hose" well Texans...HERE IT IS!!! These next few pictures are also from the trip.
Aubrey, Braxton and Jaesika

Twin Falls, ID temple!!! WAY GORGEOUS!!!
Went to a little rock concert with my friend Jaesika one night. We made t-shirts, and then did our hair way crazy (what we consider how rockers would do theirs). It was way fun.

Here's the Tye-Dye we used.

We started making the shirts late, so we used our hairdryers to dry them. This is me striking a model-wind-in-the-hair look. Didn't work very well!

Jaesika with her handy-dandy hair dryer.
Both of our shirt! Jae's on the left, mine on the right.

MISTAKE!!!

So, I've been wanting/needing my hair to be cut for some time now. So, the other day as I was trying to run a brush through my hair, I decided that I finally would.
It was scary. Right after I made the appointment, I got really scared, and almost called and cancelled it. I don't do very well when it comes to changing the length of my hair. Change the color all you want, but don't mess with the length that's taken me YEARS to grow out!!!
So, as I came home after school to put my backpack away, I was really nervous and you could tell. My roommate Annalyse offered to come with me for support!
This is about a fourth of the hair they cut off!!! I was like on the verge of tears!
This is me trying to take picture of the back of my hair.

this is the front...as you can tell...none of my roommates were home to help me, so these are pretty lame attempts

the front again...this time a smile for the last bit of length!!!

this is the dreaded short hair!!!

It is so so so short...this is a very fake smile. I really can't stand my hair.

now you can really see how short it is.

The back!!! holy cow!!!
So...that's my mistake. It looks ok. I'm just so not used to it. I still almost cry everytime I look in the mirror, or run my fingers through it. I am so not used to my hair being this thin first of all, and i'm not used to my fingers coming out of my hair like half way down my head!! it's been scary, and my hair grows so slow, so hopefully it'll grow quicker this time!!!

My Calling

So, my first week in my new ward they announced that everyone in the ward would get a calling. Ever since that day I have been freaked out that I would be called to be a teacher. I feel like I could not handle that calling. I am not suited to teach people. Especially older people, many returned missionaries, and scripture scholars. I am just not anywhere near able to teach those spiritual giants.
Well, I got a phone call last night from one of our bishopric members. I missed the call, so, I was tempted to not call back. Well, I was righteous enough (wink wink), and I called him back. He asked if he could meet with me tonight, and I have literally been praying that I don't get the calling of a teacher.
So, I went in tonight. I arrived, and he called me into his office. As I looked down onto the paper, the first words I saw were "Gospel Doctrine Teacher". My heart sank down into my toes! I was sick to my stomach. I almost told him that I would rather be "Ward Shoe Mat" or anything that would be suitable for me. I was just waiting for him to tell me that the Lord wanted me to be a teacher, and I was all ready to break down!
As he began to speak, I heard him! "WARD CHOIR DIRECTOR"!!! I was so excited!!! I can do that! I feel like I have enough experience to be able to do something like that. I am so excited. The only thing that I'm not very excited about is having to create the choir. There has never been a choir in the Rexburg Idaho, 71st Ward before...so that'll be a challenge!!!
I really am excited though. I cannot wait!!! It is going to be a blessing, and it will help me get to know my ward better!!
